Privacy policy
How we handle personal information, and what you can ask us to do with it.
This page is a starting point written against Australian law. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer, and sections marked [confirm] need details only Total Store Solutions Pty Ltd can supply. Have it checked before relying on it.
Total Store Solutions Pty Ltd (we, us) supplies electrical products and sheetmetal fabrication from 7 Angel Rd, Stapylton QLD 4207. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how you can access or correct it.
We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). [confirm] Businesses with an annual turnover of $3 million or less are generally exempt from the Privacy Act, but many choose to comply anyway. Confirm which applies to you — if you are relying on the small business exemption, this page should say so rather than imply a legal obligation you do not have.
What we collect
We only collect what we need to quote, supply and invoice:
- Contact details — name, business name, email address and phone number.
- Enquiry content — the description you type, and any drawing or file you attach (PDF, DXF, DWG or an image).
- Account and transaction records — orders, deliveries and payment history where you hold a trade account.
- Technical information — standard web server logs. [confirm] List any analytics, advertising or session-recording tools in use; if there are none, say so plainly, because that is a genuine selling point.
- Embedded maps — our home and contact pages embed Google Maps so you can find the branch. Loading those pages sends your IP address and the page you are on to Google, and Google may set its own cookies. We do not control that collection; it is covered by Google's privacy policy.
We do not ask for sensitive information as defined by the Privacy Act, and you should not send it to us through the enquiry form.
Why we collect it
- To prepare and send a quote, and to answer your enquiry.
- To supply goods, fabricate to your drawing, and arrange delivery or collection.
- To operate trade accounts, invoice, and pursue payment.
- To meet record-keeping obligations under Australian tax and business law.
We do not sell personal information. [confirm] State whether you send marketing email — if you do, the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) requires consent, clear sender identification and a working unsubscribe in every message.
Who we share it with
We disclose personal information only where it is needed to do the job:
- Freight and courier companies, to deliver your order.
- Suppliers and manufacturers, where an item is supplied direct or a warranty claim requires it.
- Our accounting, payment and IT service providers.
- Google — through the embedded map described above. This is an overseas disclosure: Google LLC is based in the United States and operates globally.
- Where we are required or authorised by law.
[confirm] Google Maps is listed above because this site embeds it. Add any other provider that stores data outside Australia (email, CRM, accounting, hosting, backups). APP 8 makes you accountable for overseas disclosures, so the countries involved should be listed here.
Storing and securing it
Enquiry attachments are stored privately on our server and are reachable only by staff who have signed in to our administration system. Access to customer records is limited to people who need it.
No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access. If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify affected people and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
[confirm] How long do you keep quotes, drawings and account records? A common position is seven years for financial records, with drawings kept for the life of the customer relationship, but this should reflect what you actually do.
Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct anything that is wrong. Email sales@totalstoresolutions.com.au or call 07 3073 1628.
We will respond within a reasonable period. If we refuse, we will tell you why in writing. There is no charge to make a request, though we may charge for the reasonable cost of supplying the information.
Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first at sales@totalstoresolutions.com.au so we can try to sort it out. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

We may update this policy. The current version is always the one published on this page, with the last updated date shown above.
